We have been accepted as an approved training centre to deliver the CILT(UK) Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Road Haulage)

Any company or entity wishing to operate vehicles in excess of 3.5t commercially (excluding own goods and some other exemptions) are required to hold a Standard operators licence, as a requirement of said licence, there must be a suitably qualified transport manager maintaining effective control of the transport operations.

We are now able to deliver the transport manager qualification (for road haulage only). Often the first step in setting up your own haulage business is to qualify as a transport manager - this gives you the knowledge to run a safe and legal transport operation, additionally the average rate for an external transport manager is roughly £350-400 per month for single vehicle operators. This is a lifetime award however you must maintain this qualification with a refresher course recommended at 5 years.

We can offer this course distance learning, in person and of course a mix of both. Whilst there is no previous experience required, having a working knowledge of how a company is run and operated, involvement with the transport supply chain or previous experience driving HGVs will definitely aid your progress.

The next examination sitting is the 7th of June with course enrolment being completed by: 17 – 24 May 2022 and results by end of July.

This course cannot be undertaken as a 'test only', however can be undertaken with minimum classroom time through our home study program. We will supply you with a home study pack and exam pack with test questions. It's not simply a case of giving you all this new information and leaving you to it though, we will be available to help guide you along the way  and to point you in the right direction if you are struggling with any areas of the test preparation, with us touching base throughout your journey to check up on progress. There is also the possibility of 1 or 2 days in the classroom doing revision prior to the examination.

The classroom intensive course length will be based on previous experience, naturally any involvement with the industry is a big bonus but not essential.

If you want a conversation with a real person about the requirements or have any other questions about the course, feel free to get in touch via Facebook, email or whatsapp.

And don't worry, if you want to work as an external transport manager following successful completion of the course, then we can help to set you up with a local haulage company who require a transport manager, OR, if you feel like you want to set up your own haulage company we are more than happy to help our previous learners out!
