Below is the list of categories we can currently offer training and testing on.
We can currently offer training and testing in the following categories
For the construction industry:
- S001 - Site safety (Green card training)
- Telescopic handler (including 360 slew) with suspended loads
- Excavator (Wheeled and tracked) all sizes with lifting operations
- MEWP; static boom, mobile boom and mobile scissor
- Forward tipping dumper and road roller
- Rear tipping dumper including; tracked, rigid or articulated
- Slinger/signaller training
- Safe work at height
- Harness and fall arrest
- Abrasive wheels
- Vehicle or plant or excavation banksman
- Cable Avoidance Tool & Signal Generator
- Confined spaces
- Safe use of ladders
For the haulage industry:
- Plant mover
- Plant loader securer (you must be qualified to drive the equipment before undertaking loader securer training and testing)
- Lorry loader, log handler and marine knuckle boom crane
- Counter balance forklift
For supervisors:
- Plant supervisor
- Lift truck supervisor
- MEWP supervisor
Routes to operators card
There are 2 main operators cards supplied by NPORS; the standard 3/5 year (employers preference) trained operator card, this satisfies the training requirement.
OR
The CSCS card, operatives start with a red, trained card and once they have sufficient experience can complete a SVQ/NVQ, once successfully complete can request the card be changed to a 5 year blue card. This should then satisfy both the trained and competent operator requirements.
